Who is eligible to participate in the Microsoft Office Certification classes?

Classes are restricted to those who are:

  • 16 years of age and older
  • Residents of Jackson Ward
  • Business owners or employees in Jackson Ward
  • Residents of RRHA public housings
  • Participants in area workforce development programs such as New Visions/New Ventures, Richmond Career Advancement Center, Goodwill, etc.


What does the registration cost for classes include?

Registration cost includes cost for instruction, books, and required course materials.

What is the benefit of obtaining the Microsoft Office Specialist Certification?

This certification does not expire. According to Robert Half International, companies pay employees with this certification 12% more than their counterparts without certification. In other surveys, 67% of companies stated certification simplified hiring and advancement decisions.
